By downloading and using the BookStash app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Description of the service
BookStash is a mobile app for personal book tracking. It allows you to:
- Maintain reading lists (want to read, currently reading, read)
- Add books by URL with automatic metadata extraction
- View reading statistics
- Create and save cover collages
3. Your account
An account is required to use the app. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password confidential and your account secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate information when registering
Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app for:
- Any unlawful activity
- Overloading or disrupting our servers
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the system or other users' data
- Transmitting malicious software
5. Content and intellectual property
Book metadata (titles, authors, descriptions, covers) belongs to the respective rights holders. BookStash retrieves it from public sources solely for your personal use.
Content you create (reading lists, collages) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store and display that content within the service.
6. Service availability
We strive to keep the app running smoothly, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance or updates.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is." We are not liable for:
- Data loss due to technical failures
- The accuracy of book metadata retrieved from external sources
- Indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app
8. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and request account deletion. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
